Peace Fair Meeting:
Thurs. June 18 6pm Cranford Clock Park

Many performing artists are asking me about the peace fair. Every year at about this time I mail in a letter to the Cranford township administrator to ask for permission to do this event.

My involvement with the skatepark has overshadowed my peace council involvement, but it looks like I have time right now, and so we should confer immediately. We need to come up with a proposal for a theme, and ideas about what will make this the best party ever. there will also be hibakusha visiting the area about this time, and so we should invite them and offer
them our best hospitality. There is also talk of us possibly changing the date (usually the first Sunday of august) and place.

My thoughts are to publish Thomas Kiernan's essay on why peace is important to Americans, print out a small vegan cookbook, invite artists to hang their works for free and have the entire
event "donations only." the lemonade last year was a BIG success. also we want to keep a very low overhead, so if you think you will have costs, please submit them beforehand, and we
will try to fit them into our budget.

but first we have to have a brief meeting, and i have to ask for permission.
